Asus ROG Phone 3 has officially arrived. This gaming smartphone is supported by fierce high-end specifications that make us interested in discussing the performance of ROG Phone 3 this time.

Yes, the Asus ROG Phone 3 is arguably the smartphone with the highest specifications at this time. How not, the smartphone is supported by the Snapdragon 865+ processor which is the fastest chipset at the moment.

Qualcomm says that the Snapdragon 865+ is their first mobile chipset with a  clock speed of up to 3.1 GHz.

This processor is combined with 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage memory, and a 6,000 mAh capacity battery with 30W fast charging support.

Then, how is the ability? In this performance test, we used 3 benchmark applications, such as AnTuTu Benchmark, 3DMark, to PCMark, as well as the Battery Log assistance application to find out its overall performance.

In testing too, we used the Asus ROG Phone 3 with an 8GB / 128GB model. Here are the results:

AnTuTu Benchmark Asus ROG Phone 3

Having a kitchen runway in the form of a Snapdragon 865+ processor, surely the AnTuTu score from the Asus ROG Phone 3 doesn’t make you disappointed. This smartphone recorded a very high score reaching 614 thousand points.

Based on the Ranking menu in the AnTuTu Benchmark application, this score makes the X50 Pro 5G realm perched in second place on the AnTuTu version of the list of the fastest-performing phones, just below the Asus ROG Phone 3 with the 12GB / 256GB model with a difference of 1,000 points.

The GPU Adreno 650 capability of the Asus ROG Phone 3 did not escape testing. We tested our ability using the 3DMark application with two different tests, namely Sling Shot and Sling Shot Extreme.

At 3DMark, ROG Phone 3 scored 9,736 points in the Sling Shot test. 3DMark even mentions that the smartphone has a better score than 99% of the phones tested to date.

As for the Sling Shot Extreme OpenGL and Vulkan, the scores obtained were 7,709 points and 6,942 points respectively.

Who says that HP  gaming can’t be taken seriously, like work and others? Through PCMark testing, we also proved that ROG Phone 3 is capable of multi-tasking, opening presentations,  live streaming, and other normal work.

The reason is this smartphone scores 14,594 points. This score is arguably included in the ranks of high-end mobile special points.

Asus ROG Phone 3 Battery Test

ROG Phone 3 is supported by a 6,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging 30W. We tested it by playing YouTube videos at 1080p resolution non-stop and recording them using the Battery Log app.

As a result, ROG Phone 3 can last almost 16 hours with 3% battery remaining. This durability is actually fairly normal for a cellphone with a 6,000 mAh battery.

This is because other high- end smartphones with a 4,500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 865 processor alone can last up to 17 hours with 5% remaining battery.

Now talking about its charging speed. 30W output is actually quite large for fast charging technology. But, is it fast enough to charge a 6,000 mAh battery?

Based on our tests, charging for 4% fully takes approximately 2 hours. When translated, the first 10 minutes the battery is about 13% charged.

Within 30 minutes, the battery has reached 39% or about 35% charged. Meanwhile, when we charge for an hour, the battery has been charged up to 72%. The charging speed tends to decrease when it reaches 90%.

Asus ROG Phone 3 itself circulates in Indonesia in two variants. The lowest model with 8GB / 128GB RAM and storage is priced at 666.58 US dollars While the 12GB / 256GB Asus ROG Phone 3 model was released at a price of 1003.24 US dollars with the bundling AeroActive Cooler 3.
